Prerequisites

Manual medicine courses and related activities are limited to fully licensed physicians: DO and MD, and physical therapists. Courses are designed to build upon each other. Therefore, attendance is allowed only to those who have had the prerequisite training courses.

Basic Principles of Manual Medicine is the prerequisite for all other SFIMMS courses. Additional prerequisites may apply to selected courses. The SFIMMS course Basic Principles of Manual Medicine is accepted by the Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine CME Program. Fulfillment of either program's basic principles course satisfies the prerequisite for continuing education in both programs.
