Advanced Supervised Clinical Instruction

  1. OSTEOPATHIC PROBLEM SOLVING PRACTICUM (30 Hours)

    Description: A patient case study practicum where participants present their own patients and problem-solve with other course members. Under supervision of the course instructors, course participants perform patient diagnosis and treatment. A variety of clinical syndromes are presented and clinical pearls are emphasized throughout.

  2. OSTEOPATHIC CLINICAL TUTORIAL 1-A, Osteopathic Functional Rehabilitation (22 Hours)

    Description: A patient case study practicum as described above, with clinical focus on motor and neuromusculoskeletal system rehabilitation. Assessment and treatment of muscle imbalance is presented along with postural weight bearing radiography.

  3. OSTEOPATHIC CLINICAL TUTORIAL I-B, Osteopathic Approach to Infants/children (22 Hours)

    Description: This practicum presents a review of Osteopathic embryology and neurologic development to highlight the Osteopathic approach to infants and children. Sensory-motor integration is emphasized as well as Osteopathic approaches to the partum and post-partum mother. Patient case studies are presented including both infants and young children.

  4. OSTEOPATHIC CLINICAL TUTORIAL II (22 Hours)

    Description: This course presents the opportunity to observe and interact with 'masters' in Osteopathic Medicine, each presenting didactic lectures and demonstrating clinical skills.
